Harrison County

Harrison County was founded in 1845 and is named after U.S. Representative Albert G. Harrison of Missouri. Currently, the population is 8,157 and the county seat is the city of Bethany. Harrison county is located in the great northwest of Missouri and borders Iowa to the north. 

Commissioner Mike Smith sat down with Scott Faughn and talked about Harrison’s rich history. The commissioner also talks about the residents of Harrison county, why they choose to live in the county, and what separates them from other counties in the area.
